John Legend brought a bit of glamour to St Pancras in London on Wednesday morning when he sat down and played at the piano in the station.
The 10-time Grammy winner took a few minutes to perform an impromptu eight-minute set for a small crowd of phone-wielding fans and passers-by. The performance was also uploaded as a live stream to promoter Live Nation’s Facebook page.
Legend was promoting his forthcoming world tour, which will reach the UK in September, and had arrived in St Pancras after boarding the Eurostar in Paris, where he had press commitments with the French press.
The Legend hinted at his performance minutes before it took place on Twitter:
After he finished playing the piano, which was cordoned off from the audience, the Facebook stream continued to follow Legend, flanked by security, through St Pancras, where he refused fans’ pleas for photographs.
