Military experts believe the main reason for doing this was to warn the Hermit Kingdom ahead of them potentially launching a nuclear missile.

But it has been revealed that America harbours an even bigger missile in their arsenal.

Dubbed the Massive Ordnance Penetrator, the 15-tonne explosive was designed to wipe out an underground bunker in one blast.

Weighing 14,000kg, the bomb can be carried by stealth bombers for undercover attacks on weapons sites.

And like the MOAB, its bigger brother is a non-nuclear bomb, which would keep the US from contravening EU regulations.

It is intended that the MOP will be GPS guided and can be carried by the US’ B2 bomber planes.

Kim Jong-un was outraged when the B2 bombers took part in simulated attacks on North Korea during the Foal Eagle operation.

In retaliation, North Korea has vowed to reduce the US to ashes at the slightest sign of aggression.

In response, the US has sent a fleet of three warships to the peninsula ahead of the next North Korea missile launch
