More than 250 Twitter accounts have been hit with soft porn and gay images

An online tech fighter, known as ‘WauchulaGhost’  has taken matters into his own hands combatting terrorism by humiliating and mocking ISIS on social media.

He began targeting jihadist accounts 18 months ago because he believed somebody had to ‘stand up’ to those spreading hatred.

He said it takes him around 60 seconds to hack their social media accounts as most posters have the technical knowledge of a 10 year old.

Following the Orlando gay nightclub shooting he decided to replace the pro-ISIS imagery on their profiles with pro-LGBT messages and links to gay porn.

But now he’s revealed his online campaign has led to horrific death threats from ISIS.

He told CNN: “I get beheading images… death threats. ‘We’re going to kill you’ and that’s good because if they are focusing on me they are not doing anything else.

“We started to take over their accounts with porn and gay pride images basically just to troll them. We thought that putting the naked images would offend them.

“Sometimes you have to stand up and make a change for the good.”

“Daesh [ISIS] have been spreading and praising the attack, so I thought I would defend those that were lost. The taking of innocent lives will not be tolerated,” he said.

“One thing I do want to say is we aren’t using graphic porn and our purpose is not to offend Muslims.

“Our actions are directed at Jihadist extremists. Many of our own [group of hackers] are Muslim and we respect all religions that do not take innocent lives.”

The goal is to discredit the Twitter accounts that ISIS use to spread propaganda and recruit and empower supporters.

It appears Twitter has recently cracked down on extremism, shutting more than 125,000 Twitter accounts.

However, despite Twitter’s popularity with ISIS members, the group have threatened to kill the company’s co-founder, Jack Dorsey, and Mark Zuckerberg for working with authorities.

The ‘hacktivist’  plans to continue the campaign with two other hackers who go by Ebony and Yeti.
