The Zanu PF National Political Commissar Cde Saviour Kasukuwere has admitted he blundered by imposing a candidate in the Norton by-election which was won by an independent candidate Temba Mliswa.

Cde Kasukuwere made the admission while addressing Zanu PF supporters in Mbare during an inter-district conference.

The National Political Commissar admitted thorough consultations with the general party membership and leadership must guide candidates who will run for positions in the party.

“Zvichatipa kuti tiite review ndakazviwona nyaya yekuregerera vanhu vachipinda muparty vasina macredentials muparty is  dangerous. (We will have to review party candidates so as to vet their credentials first),” said Cde Kasukuwere.

The Zanu PF inter-district conference was held to finalise voter registration and mobilisation for the province ahead of the forthcoming 2018 national elections.
