President Robert Mugabe has arrived back home from Iran where he attended the swearing in ceremony of the country’s President Hassan Rouhani
He was met at the Harare International Airport by Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko, cabinet ministers, service chiefs and senior government officials.
In Iran, President Mugabe also held closed door meetings with his counterpart.
Zimbabwe and Iran share cordial bilateral relations and several agreements have been signed, which are expected to turn around Zimbabwe’s economic fortunes.
Both countries have been under illegal Western economic sanctions and have used every international forum to condemn the embargoes.
