Police in Bolobedu, outside Tzaneen are investigating a case of murder, which occurred on Monday night, 11 September, in Madibeng village.
Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says during the conflict, the man locked his wife inside the hut and set it alight, before fleeing the scene.
“The deceased were identified as Elizabeth and Albert Lenexa from Madibeng village,” Ngoepe confirmed.
He concluded by saying the cause of the domestic conflict is still unknown but that police investigations will continue.
