Woman finds hubby raping daughter, 7

HARARE: A Waterfalls man is answering rape charges after his wife allegedly found him abusing their seven-year-old daughter.

The suspect, who cannot be named to protect the identity the daughter, appeared before Harare magistrate Josephine Sande Friday.

He was ordered to apply for bail at the High Court.

Court heard that the family resides at Amsterdam Park Waterfalls with the daughter attending Blackfordby Primary School.

Prosecutors said the father started abusing his daughter in July this year.

On the first incident, the man took advantage of his wife’s absence after she had gone to the shops at around 7pm. He reportedly raped the child once without using protection.

After that day, court heard he would rape his daughter on several occasions during the mother’s absence until October 23 when the wife suddenly returned home to find him in the act.

The case was reported leading to his arrest. Sebastin Mutizirwa prosecuted.
