The First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa has made it clear not leave her constituency although her associates have advised her to relinquish the post.
Auxillia Mnangagwa’ s sympathisers including Oppah Muchinguri advised her to step down as MP to pave way for another Parliamentary candidate.
Muchinguri told a weekly publication she expected Auxillia Mnangagwa to avoid the blunders made by her predecessor, Grace Mugabe.
However, the First Lady has insisted that she will not leave her constituency. She is the MP for Chirumhanzu Zibagwe Constituency.
Addressing party supporters in the constituency last week, Auxillia Mnangagwa said she had no plans to step down.
“I will not abandon you and I have no plans to step down because we have been together for a long time.
Let me assure you that we will be together and I cannot leave you simply because of my new role as the First Lady,” she said.
