

A Zimbabwean delegation has arrived in New York for the 62nd Commission on the Status of Women.
The conference which has attracted women representatives from United Nations member countries is expected to officially open today.
In attendance will be the First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa, Minister of Women and Youths Affairs Cde Sithembiso Nyoni, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Cde Marble Chinomona, legislators that include Mrs Paurina Mupariwa, Minister of State for Manicaland province Cde Monica Mutsvangwa, and NGOs, among others.
The 2-week conference is expected to look at the progress made in empowering women and girls who live in rural areas.
