Nelso Chamisa urges Bulawayo Councilors to prioritize service delivery

President Adv. Nelson Chamisa today held a meeting with Bulawayo City councillors committees to discuss issues affecting the second largest city where the people’s President exhorted the city fathers to prioritize service delivery to the people

The people’s President told the councillors that the thrust of responsible local governance rests on accountability, transparency and service delivery. President Chamisa said it was imperative for councillors to adhere to the party template that demands that every people’s representative regular holds feedback meetings.

The councillors raised issues of the challenges facing the city, among them the continued government interference into their affairs.

President Chamisa promised that his incoming government was committed to implementing devolution which would ensure that local communities are empowered to run their own affairs.

The people’s President was accompanied to the meeting by members of the party’s standing committee.
