Zimbabwe Republic Police say the number of people killed in road accidents during this year’s Easter holiday has risen to 42.
In a statement to ZBC News, police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi said 10 more people died on Sunday in five fatal road traffic accidents which occurred throughout the country.
Chief Superintendent Nyathi said 246 people have also been injured in the 338 road traffic accidents recorded so far.
He appealed to motorists to always avoid speeding and overtaking in front of oncoming vehicles and urged them to continuously service their vehicles before embarking on long journeys.
