

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) says expert teams are firmly on the ground investigating yesterday’s explosion at a Zanu PF rally in Bulawayo, and is offering reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest of the culprits.
The blast occurred at White City Stadium in Bulawayo minutes after President Emmerson Mnangagwa had finished addressing.
According to the ZRP, 49 people were injured and there were no deaths recorded.
Addressing the media in Harare this afternoon, Police Spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba assured the nation that investigations to ascertain what transpired at the stadium are currently underway.
“A substantial reward is being offered and anyone with information should contact CID Bulawayo on telephone number 0292-71568, Bulawayo Central Police – 0292-72515 or CID Headquarters – 0242-709134, or the National Complaints Desk on 0242-703631, or whatsapp number 0712800197 or any other nearest police station,” Senior Assistant Commissioner Charamba said.
The police spokesperson also urged the media to give them and other security forces the space to conduct investigations.
