The famous leader of Johane Masowe Vadzidzi VaJeso, Mudzidzi Wimbo has died.
Born Aaron Mhukuta Gomo 96 years ago, Mudzidzi Wimbo died at Arundel Hospital this morning.
The Minister of State for Mashonaland Central Provincial Affairs, Advocate Martin Dinha confirmed the development.
Mudzidzi Wimbo is famed for being the leader of one of the most followed indigenous churches and reportedly prophesying that Zimbabwe’s leader at independence would bear Gabriel as his middle name.
This came to pass when former president, Robert Gabriel Mugabe took the reins of the country’s leadership at independence in 1980.
