Driver to appear before court again over horror Limpopo bus crash

The driver of an Intercape bus which overturned, killing nine people on the N1 in Limpopo province on September 21, is expected to appear in Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

Zimbabwean national, George Temba, 41, was arrested a few days later after trying to flee to Zimbabwe. Police found him hiding in a trailer transporting goods.

He faces nine charges of culpable homicide and a charge of reckless driving after he lost control of an Intercape bus, which was travelling to Johannesburg from Harare last Friday, killing nine Zimbabweans on the spot.

Last week he appeared before where his application for bail was denied, and his court case postponed to Tuesday due to further investigations.
