Zimbabwe Vice President Chiwenga hospitalised

Zimbabwe Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, has been admitted at a private hospital in Harare where he is being treated for a yet-to-be-disclosed ailment

This comes as sources also said yesterday that affable Foreign Affairs and International Trade minister, Sibusiso Busi (SB) Moyo, was still battling in hospital — after undergoing an emergency surgery for a kidney-related ailment two weeks ago.

Chiwenga was due to represent Zimbabwe at a SADC forum on early childhood nutrition in Maseru, which started on Tuesday.

Two government sources said that Chiwenga attended a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, but left in the middle of the meeting which ran into the evening after complaining that he was not feeling well.

“He collapsed later on Tuesday evening, we think it’s a mild stroke,” one official said, asking not to be named.

This is not the first time Chiwenga has been rushed to hospital, In April he was also rushed to Hospital after a dramatic fall at Zanu PF Headquarters.
