Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp have all gone down in a simultaneous and strange outage,
People in Japan, South America, Europe and the US all reported problems on Wednesday according to data collected by Downdetector
Users are complaining about photos not being able to load, videos not appearing and voice messages failing to send.
Social media users also say they are unable to send files or messages on Whatsapp.
The social media giant has not yet commented publically on the apparent issues.
According to site Down Detector, which monitors complaints, Facebook had zero reports of the site being down until 3pm BST, when more than 1,800 were sent.
“By duration, this is by far the largest outage we have seen since the launch of Downdetector in 2012,” Tom Sanders, co-founder of Downdetector told Techcrunch at the time.
