Tesco has announced is is to cut around 4,500 jobs as part of measures to “simplify and reduce processes and administrative tasks” mainly across its Metro stores.
Although the measures are focused on all of Tesco’s 153 Metro stores, some changes will also be made to 134 of its Express stores and to some large stores, the company said on Monday.
