Earlier today, there was a 75-minute conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin, French president Emmanuel Macron and German leader Olaf Scholz.
In the last few minutes, a French presidency official has been giving some details of the call.
The official said that Mr Putin “did not appear ready to end the war” in Ukraine.
The leaders of France and Germany had called for a ceasefire as a condition before structured negotiations.
They also told Mr Putin that the destruction by Russian forces must stop, the official said.
