Zambian Business Man claims Bushiri got him arrested and took his gold

A video has emerged with a Zambian man Shadreck Kapasa claiming that the controversial leader of the Enlighten Christian Gathering Church (ECG) Shepherd Bushiri swindled him of his gold.

The embattled Prophet who is currently on bail facing charges of fraud in South Africa is said to have connived with some police officers and got Kapasa arrested.

Kapasa claims to have sold gold to Bushiri in Zambia, however, when he went to collect his money from Bushiri in South Africa, Bushiri got Kapasa and three of his colleagues arrested.

Kapasa says he was sent the a prison in Sun City where he spent 8 months in jail.

“My colleagues, this three man you see here spent a year plus in prison, these are innocent men. Bushiri must compensate them for getting them arrested” said Kapasa.

Kapasa appealed to the South African government to look into the matter and accused Bushiri of being a criminal.

The Zambian businessman demanded that Bushiri must compensate him for his gold he claimed to have footage to evidence the meetings and his dealings with Shepherd Bushiri.

The self-proclaimed prophet and his wife Mary are set to appear in court on May 10 .

The couple were arrested at the Sparkling Waters hotel in Rustenburg. 
The Hawks’ case against the pair concerns alleged offences of fraud, money laundering and contravention of the Prevention of Organised Crime Act (POCA).

The crimes were allegedly committed from 2015 in relation to Exchange Control Regulations related to foreign currency in the amount of $1,147,200 (about R15.3m), according to the Hawks.
The couple run several business enterprises in South Africa and abroad.
