Mnangagwa cuts his UAE trip short and heads home to Deal with Crises; Cyclone Idai and Doctors..

After coming under heavy criticism for leaving Zimbabwe in a state of crisis, to go on a trip to the United Arab Emirates, the President Emmerson Mnangagwa has cut his trip short to go and deal with an ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by tropical cyclone Idai and other issues bedevilling Zimbabwe.

The main opposition party the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) had castigated President Mnangagwa’s globetrotting at a time of crises.

This becomes the second time that Mnangagwa has had to cut a trip short in January Mnangagwa he was forced to cancelled his planned trip to the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (Wef) in Davos, Switzerland. Mnangagwa had to rush home after violence broke out and wide spread looting as citizens protested fuel hikes.

The military was deployed on the streets resulting in lose of lives as they tried to restore order. Zimbabweans have been calling for the military to be deployed this time to deal with the trail of distraction left by Cyclone Idai.
