INNOCENT MADAWO

was born and educated in Zimbabwe where he also trained and worked as a journalist for the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation and the Zimbabwe Inter-Africa News Agency. Madawo left Zimbabwe at a time when journalism had been turned upside down by President Mugabe’s then Information Minister, Prof Jonathan Moyo, whose concept of journalism was “unbridled propaganda” on behalf of the government. Madawo now has a column in the Toronto Sun. He has also written op-eds for The Globe and Mail.
